一道data sufficiency题，有点懵 求教

If [X] denotes the least integer greater than or equal to x, is [x]=0?
(1) -1<x<1
(2) x<0
答案是C, both statements together are sufficient.

给的解释是 Determine if [x], the least integer greater than or equal to x, is equal to 0, which is the same as determining if x satisfies -1<x≤0.
我就不明白了怎么就the same as "x satisfies -1<x≤0"了？还有“the least integer” 改怎么理解？

least integer是指最小整数，比如是x=0则[x]=0，x=0.1则[x]=1
1）的话，如果x在0-1之间比如0.5，那么[x]=1， 若果在-1 - 0之间包括0 则[x]=0，不能确定 所以insufficient
2）的话x<0有无数个整数 insufficient
1+2把x的范围确定在-1<x=<0, 此时x怎么都等于0

1和2的交集就是－1<x <0呀
