托福分数低，可以用optional essay解释吗

请教大家，托福分数低于录取分或者口语写作稍低，来不及重考，可不可以通过optional essay解释，突出自己在工作中的英文交流能力？

I'm afraid there is little to explain.A test score is a test score. the best thing you can do is retake.
