看到expect ,想到的一定是expect的用法,expect to be /it is expectation that 这些用法都是有的
Heating-oil prices are expected to be higher this year than (Heating-oil prices are expected to be) last (year)这里确实是会有歧义的,但是总和来看是不能够选择C的
Expectations are for heating-oil prices to be higher this year than last year's because refiners are paying about $5 a barrel for crude oil more than they did
higher than last year expectations or higher than for heating-oil prices? It has misleading.
So i think if you want to express the correct meaning , you should say like this:
Expectations are higher this year for heating oil prices than that of last year.
THUS, we could find a clear and concise answer in the multiple choice.
The second question is rational with "those", because if you want to use those ,you need to give out the new copy.
According to recent studies comparing the nutritional value of meat from wild animals and meat from domesticated animals, wild animals have less total fat than livestock fed on grain and more of a kind of fat thought to be good for cardiac health.
omit the middleman and warmup, you will find the main structure of sentence.
wild animals have less total fat than livestock
apples are more healthy to eat than caramels.
apples are more healthy to eat than caramels ARE.
I like cheese more than Y.
I like cheese more than Y does.or I like cheese more than i like Y .
