Wondering why?

The answer is B. My question is if to correct this statement of B, how?

very修饰原级， much修饰比较级

应改成particles charging,现在分词作定语时，它所修饰的词一般是分词所表示的行为或状态的主体。从逻辑上看似乎是一种主谓的关系，此题也可用排除法，别的都没有错，就是这个了贝~~

very只能修饰原级，much既可修饰原级，也可修饰比较级。
