看过老外对英国商学院的评价, 大致是这样。
tier one: LBS.
tier two: lancaster, Manchester, oxford, cambridge.
tier three: warwick, cranfield...
among these school, LBS and MBS are the two earliest programme in UK, and recieve much more recogintion from natives( especially for those middle-age), and both are two years long. anyone who have interest on working in UK upon graduation, could well take these two into consideration since the intern will definately give you extra advantage in locating a job.
as for oxbridge, both are rather young and boomed tremendously from their universial reputation. certainly, they also do a great job in marketing their name. so for those intent to work back to their homeland, these two are generally not bad choice concerning the superficial impact of their big names. on top of that, there is not ultimate difference among schools on second tier.
if you are interested in finance, then LBS, Lancaster, oxford should be your priority.
more importantly, the salary level and employment record should also be allowed with adequate concern. my personal view is that no need for tenacious preoccupation or worship for grant name or ranking position, it is simply a childish behaviour. to find a school fiting very well to your aspiration should by all means outweigh the psuedo-issue of name bragging. logically, your future employer will not be an layman totally uninformed of specific background knowledge for those schools. many of them are pretty much mature and wisely view what you take for granted from a wholly different perspective. in short, dont count on a shrewd CEO buy your big name easily.
as for specific ranking, you can check it on FT.
