OG 、RON的解释、Prep 08解释有差别的地方关于so ...as to 等用法

问个语法问题  OG 上的 Although schistosomiasis is not often fatal, it is so debilitating that it has become an economic drain on many developing countries.和这个句子 Although schistosomiasis is not often fatal, so debilitating is it as to become an economic drain on many developing countries.这两个句子哪个对，为什么

另OG说The construction so x as to y is not a correct idiom。RON这边解释you don't use so ADJ as to VERB unless the VERB describes some sort of state/condition. i.e., if the verb is an action verb, this construction generally isn't used.如果按照RON的解释，那么PREP 08又说Although one link in the chain was demonstrated to be weak, but not sufficiently so to require the recall of the automobile. (incorrect) The official answer is: demonstrably weak, it was not so weak as to require

为什么so weak as to require又是对了，require不是action verb?不是说describes some sort of state/condition才可以用吗?同理Prep 08 还有一道The Emperor Augustus, it appears, commissioned an idealized sculptured portrait, the features of which are so unrealistic as to constitute what one scholar calls an “artificial face.”这里的 constitute为什么又是对的？

从来没见过倒装的
这题你就把两个放在一起，一般人都会选前一个。两个比较，肯定是第一个好，简单直接，不用费事就可以理解。

第二个问题：
我问你一个中文的：
明白 是不是“理解，知道”的意思？
那么如果一个外国人问你下面这个例句为什么“明白”的意思与字典完全不同，新华字典都没有这种用法？
小明白白损失了5毛钱。
你无语不？

你要把单词和短语放到句子里去理解啊！不能看到一个短语就认定它必须是一个固定的用法而不去考虑其在句中的结构成分。

It is so adj. as to do sth是正确的， 后面to do sth的主语是it，adj是表语。
the construction so x as to y 这里我假设x是adj. y是do sth。x这里是补语啊！construction so x你看到is了吗？我觉得construction在句子中是宾语吧？不然怎么可能有这么一个结构？
demonstrably weak, it was not so weak as to require 这不就是主系表结构吗？ it was not so weak as to do sth。肯定是正确的啊
再看features of which are so unrealistic as to constitute 这是不是也是主系表结构？

我的重点写的那么不明显嘛这些句子不是说句子结构的问题，而是so ...as to....的用法

你要看so adj as to do sth做什么成分啊
the construction so x as to y中so adj.是做补语
demonstrably weak, it was not so weak as to require之所以正确是因为so weak是表语

我的意思是不能只盯着so as to do看而不管其在句子中做什么成分，然后问“我问的是so as to”。这跟我举例中的外国人问“小明白白损失了5毛钱”中的“明白”为什么跟字典里“明白”的用法不同不是一样吗？
我跟你说的意思就是你不能只看so as to do，其在句子中的做的成分决定了有些用法是正确的，有些是错误的。同样是“明白”，“我明白你的意思”跟“小明白白损失了5毛钱”中的“明白”一样吗？

it is so adj. as to do sth结构中因为so adj.在表语的位置，导致to do sth的逻辑主语非常明确：只能是it，因为整句在to do前面只有it一个“物”。
而当The manager regards the construction so messy as to spoil the street view.中so messy是contrcution的宾补，导致to spoil the street view的逻辑主语不明确：是manager spoil还是construction spoil?

你的问题跟我例子中的外国人一样：脱离句子结构看单词。

按照你的逻辑来看，首先so ..as to...这种习语是存在的
i am so ugly as to be viscerally repulsive to women.
i am so ugly as to repel women on sight.
这两个句子哪个是对的为什么对，那个是错的为什么错。对的用法是什么使用规则

这不是我的“逻辑”，这是正确理解so as to用法的逻辑。
在逻辑主语明确的前提下，so as to当然是正确的结构，而且比so that还要好，因为so as to更简洁。
至于你问的第二个问题：
i am so ugly as to be viscerally repulsive to women.
i am so ugly as to repel women on sight.
这两个用的都是so as to，所以必然是除了so as to以外的地方有Decision Point，否则这两个选项要么同对，那么同错。这题你要是无法找到Decision Point，说明你语法基础还不踏实，你现在要做的不是一道一道题的问，因为要问的可能太多了。先把基础打牢，80％的疑问都可以自己想通。剩下实在不明白的再问，这样才有效率。
你就记住：外国人傻逼着呢，他们能记住的一定是有逻辑可以记忆的语法，如果中国人都无法理解，借他们两个脑袋他们也记不住。你想想乘法口诀表都记不住的人说他们可以记住所有的习语固定搭配和大量需要死记硬背的文法，你想想符合逻辑吗？

同学，你不要再说下去了，你根本没有仔细做语法OG ，PREP，RON的解释，你也是一知半解的，如果不清楚可以把问题发生来，在你没有百分百确定答案也没考过G或者有类似RON这样的相对权威一点的参考内容的话，就不要乱解释了PS我也没有兴趣跟别人讨论题目
