我选 c 因为一开始看到 smaller觉得和后面的 less 很陪， 但看到有大牛 选 c 觉得 c 语法没错，意思好像更好一点。 大家帮我看看吧

昨天跟同学讨论这题，他认为是D。我觉得也挺有道理的，我把他的理由粘贴在这里，请大家帮忙看下。NN们快来看看呀！谢谢先！！！

理由如下：

选D

全句的主语是increasing demands，原句的大致意思是：这个demands可以改变Apalachicola湾的含盐量，这会改变牡蛎的味道，并且使得它们… （我没查字典，不知道翻的准不准，不过大致是这个意思）

从句意可以看出，是这个港湾含盐量的改变导致了牡蛎在味道、大小、需求量等方面的变化。这正是D用两个伴随状语所表达的意思。

如果选C，C里的rob和alter并列，making做伴随状语，表rob和alter两者的结果。那么，意思就变成了：不断增长的需求导致了这个港湾含盐量的改变及牡蛎味道的变化，这两种变化导致了牡蛎在大小、需求量等方面的变化。  注意红体字部分，其中，含盐量的改变导致牡蛎大小的变化的确有理，但是味道的变化导致牡蛎大小的变化显然不合逻辑，所以C不正确

B: and（改变了原文结构，也run-on） it would rob the oysters there of their flavor, make them smaller

C: and（改变了原文结构） rob the oysters there of their flavor, making them decrease in size(三个比较级并列）

D: robbing the oysters there of their flavor and making them smaller

E: robbing the oysters there of their flavor, （逗号不必要）and making them decrease in size(三个比较级并列）

"smaller" in B and D is incorrect since no comparable object. only E, the best choice; "robbing" and "making" modify "alter".

Regarding the comma between "their flavor" and "and making", it's not wrong, you can find many examples in OG
