I can see why you want to go to LBS. It is arguable the best school... in the world With a profile like yours, I do think you can and should apply. You've got a great GMAT, you've got international experience, you come from a top school... all of those things can help you, if you position yourself right. But, of course, this is LBS! No one has a good shot at LBS I think you need to do a few things here in order to boost your chances of getting in:
1. You must, must, must have strong essays. They need to be compelling; NOT just a standard response to the prompt. The school needs to get to know YOU, as a person, through those essays. You need to show them how you are unique from other Chinese credit analysts (because there are a lot of those!) And that's not easy when you're coming from such a competitive applicant pool.
2. You must coach your recommenders. Their letters need to confirm things you've said elsewhere in your apps, and also say NEW things that you'd never think to say about yourself. And these letters need to be authentic. I know that many bosses ask applicants to write their own LORs, but the LORs are much, much stronger when written by the actual recommenders.
3. You gotta apply to a nice mix of schools. Yes, go for LBS! But let's also add some other schools to that list to open up your chances a bit. LBS is one of the most competitive programs on the planet and it is a big risk to apply ONLY there
Hope that helps!
Best,
