Hi,
I am looking for people who will apply MBA study in the states in the Fall 2006. In particular, I am looking for people with totally different background.
Guess you know the reason, for people with same/similar background, they will be regarded peers in one group thus need to compete directly with each other to win the seat allocated for that group. For example, people with IT background in China will not necessarily compete directly with people working in the law firm in China to win limited seat, but more possibily will compete directly with Indians who working in a software company in Bombay since all in the IT/Asian group.
Though how bschools organize applicant into different groups is not very clear, such as will they organize primarily based on nationality or GMAT score, I'd like to seek application partners whose profile is as different from mine as possible. My profile is as below:
29 yo male
GMAT 710/5.5
Undergraduate major is Computer Science
GPA 2.0/4.0 scale (Guys, at least you must be different from me on this! )
7 yrs W/E in IT industry
3 start-up experience with one successful be acquired, all as co-founder
professional W/E includes CTO/COO/CEO in various start-ups founded by others
Now working in a small private equity firm doing investment related tasks
Canada permanent resident and plan to go to Canada this Sept and apply visa there
Quite poor nowadays so will work hard to get fellowship, bschool loan etc
The reasons to go MBA are
1st to gain more access to investors such as VC/PE via school or alumnus network as well as strengthen general business skillset
2nd to further start career path in IB/VC/PE area
OK, guess it's enough to let you know who I am.
I hope people who has quite a different background reply to me so we may together work out on topics such as school selection, essay discussion and other interests.
Looking forward to hear from you soon, MSN: cefs100(A) hotmail.com
H
