What is the change that should be remembered about the twentieth century is a hot topic in our society. Different people hold different opinions due to their distinct backgrounds. If I were faced with this question, I would think that the computer technology is the most important change that should be remembered. In the following discussion, I would like to reason and provide evidence to support my viewpoint.
The first and most significant reason that we can not neglect is that we can learn much more information from the computer. As we all know, computer enjoys an unlimited storing capacity for knowledge and information. For example, we can see the Great Wall in Beijing, the laceName>FujilaceName> laceType>MountainlaceType> in Japan and other beautiful scenes in the outside world without traveling to there; we can buy goods from the internet without going to the supermarket; we can see the latest movie without going to the theater. The computer can provide all the information that we want. I think there is no better example than this one to demonstrate my point more clearly.
Another head and chief reason that I have chosen to put here is that we can work more efficiently by using the computers. In order to see this, let us see an example: we calculate 1000 pieces of data, if we use a calculator, we can finish the calculation in 30 minutes, on the contrary, we can fulfill this task only within several seconds by using a computer, and the results will be more accurate. If you can see this, you can understand it more deeply.
Admittedly, there is no denying that there are some negative influences of computers. For instance, some people may addict to the computer games, and spend much more valuable time on them. However, this alone does not lend strong support to weaken what I have supported. When advantages and disadvantages are carefully examined, the most striking conclusion is obvious.
In sum, taking into account all the factors discussed above, which sometimes intertwine to form an organic whole and thus become more persuasive, I believe that the computer technology is the change that should be remembered because it brings us not only more information but also more efficiency.
