ets are our family members. Although they are animals, once we have them in our house, we should treat them like our kids. They certainly eat different food, but the quality of their food should be in premium that they enjoy it as much as we enjoy eating beefsteak. After having some pets in my home, I definitely have changed my attitude towards people, whom I hate to get along with. I will use my personal experience to explain how much I have been benefited from having a dog in my house.
I used to hate pets because I thought they were filthy and tough to take care of. My feeling towards pets changed after my aunt gave me a puppy as a birthday present. As a person who was born to have little patience, having a pet posed a big challenge to me. As dogs are animals, I found it tough to convey a message to them, who have little in common in terms of the way to express feelings and emotions. At one point, I even wanted to give up taking care of that puppy because I thought I was not the right person to have animals. My mother tried to convince me that if I could go through this, I would start to develop a better character, and girls would start loving me. It seemed so sarcastic that I believed in her words. This definitely made no sense at all. However, I tried to tremendously hard to please my pet just as if it was my beloved one. After a while, I found myself being much more patient than I used to be. It has proven that it is definitely a way to improve one’s character. Does this sound paradoxical to you? I bet it does, but you won’t believe it until you have one and start to dedicate yourself to its whole life.
Pets are animals, but they deserve our love towards them as much as any of our family members. Being violent to our pets is insane and shall not be tolerated. I see extreme pet lovers as people with better characters. People who own pets and treat them nicely are most certainly people with a pleasant personality that they have little trouble to communicate with different types of people. Even people who are hateful, they still have their own ways to get along with them. Hopefully, I have provided enough information to you that you, if not already have a pet in your house, have already grown your interest in having a pet in your house, which can make you a better person. |
