我选了B，总感觉C怪怪的。。有解析说B中错误在于and连接前后的时态不一致，但我觉得and没有要求前后连接的时态一定要一致吧？有这个规定吗？

我认为答案是C  spoken 后面的部分都是修饰语 修饰“flowers”是在什么情况下说出来的，也就是as a bouquet of roses just picked from his garden was being arranged 这时说出来的，这里的过去进行时比较好的表达出当时正在进行的意思，而B中as a bouquet of roses had been just picked from his garden and was being arranged,明显的时代不平行，而且had been picked过去完成时所要强调的先后顺序是make no sense 的

and连接的两个半句里如果没有明确指出时间的话就要求时态一致。

C 选项是过去分词作定语 was 作谓语 并没有什么问题。 B 我认为有一个比较明显的问题是 just 的位置，我觉得就算用过去完成时， had just been picked 才是正确的语法。我也认为而过去完成时的使用多余了，强调picked 和 arranged 的时间顺序并没有实际意义，过去完成时只有在出现明确的过去某一时点之前的提示时才使用。and 前后时态并不一定平行，但是一般改变时态时在英文里都会重新强调时间，同时原文并没有。

总之C选项一看就是没有问题的，而B 不管怎么看都啰嗦而且不通顺，用Ron的话说就是越“平凡”越好。

简化的句子就是：

while 后面只需要现在完成时来表达句意。 其他的先后都做做定语修饰 bouquet of roses就好。 一旦出现其他时态after while 就显得怪怪的。
