我觉得25题是D啊，D比C要更直接就可以推出来。

文中没有直接给出contact with other cultural groups的句子，

而第二段开始说 attributed to ××，and also ##，那么推出 ## reinforce 了××不是很直接吗？？

我来抛抛我的2 cents.

这题C的问题，我觉得不在examine这个动词上，因为查了金山，发现examine有两种意思：

1. inspect               2. study or analyze

如果本题照2的说法，动词意思没什么不对。

错是错在“examining the assumptions underlying an interpretation of a phenomenon".

全文一直在说interpretation, 但没有说 assumption underlying the interpretation. 所以这才是致命的问题。

大侠们谁能把这句话翻译一下？ 我很迷茫，为什么一会儿说他们很stable，一会儿却又说a period of diminution?

只是补充一下25题选D的问题，我开始也是这么选，后来想下，是理解句子不到位，

It reinforced the religious elite’s determination to resist cultural change.

意思是"它加强了regligious elites拒绝文化变化的决心"。

而不是它加强了regligious elites拒绝文化变化的决心的效果。如果这样看，这个选项明显就是错的了。
