So sad to be denied by Chicago, and it's now very difficult for me to make a decision between Duke and UCLA. Hope you guys could kindly give me some suggestions. I know Duke is higher in ranking, but the vibrant city LA is so attractive to me. Any of your advice will be greatly appreciated.
Both are good schools. I think you will not make a wrong decision by chooseing anyone of them. However, if I were in your shoes, I would choose UCLA, because entrepreneurship is strong at Anderson. So this is basically a question which you need to find an answer by yourself. What is your career goal? What abt yr financial situation? Do u prefer a small class to a relatively larger one? etc....
I met the similar situation last month. The following aspects help me make the decision.
1. Where are you now? 2. Where will you go upon graduation? 3. Scholarship. 4. Which field you are most confident (NOT which field you are most interested)?
The other schools are also good enough for you to achieve your goals.
besides, to make decision, you may want to communicate with the new alumni from these two schools to have a deeper understanding of the school life, environment, atmosphere, and what they have gained in a long run.
