为什么没有人问6呢？一点都不明白为什么要选treadmill.

还想借问一下C与D，单车与陀螺，性质不是差不多吗，这里作者想说明什么？还是在西方这两个东东有不同的隐喻

单车与陀螺的不同点在于，单车是不断向前进的，但陀螺就不是了。从前进的意义上讲，单车更接近于原文要表达的内容。

我觉得C选项 A public official who hears and decides cases brought before a court of law.，更符合“a strong referee to give them some position in the race，确定他们那些经济领袖在竞争中所处位置的强权裁判员”的意思。

    

这是有定位信息的题，当然，定位就在原句之中，这里考察重点在于，明白句意。

可不可以这样理解： a strong referee 是指 a federal xourt jjudge
后面的a regulative hand 才是指 a government inspector
