I'm also a little confused about this.

1. What is the rank based on? Does the school offer such official rank?

2. The summer intern is in the first term (generally, fall or winter). How can the employers know the rank (if there is one).

Thank you!

just another view, no offend

well, it is definitely true that Ivey treats applicants very very well, during my class visit, every visitor got a gift pen, and there was class visit, students panel, and professors panel including the dean. The visit was a whole day event, and you would feel really really impressed.

But on the other hand, just some thoughts, no offence at all, it could be the results of not having enough high qualified applicants. Therefore, the school tries its best to lure potential applicants.

The reason is that I also visited Tuck, during that visit, no professor would meet you, only 1-2 students. No questions and answers, and no gift too....hehehehe. The whole visit is about 2 hours, including a class visit and a short question period. But Tuck clearly told me that over 3000 applicants competed for 250 spots. So you can figure out why they do not need a massive promotion. And the 2nd year student who gave us the tour around the campus, got 4 job offers already. That was in the early of April.

I didnot have the opportunity to visit other top 10 schools, but my guess is that they will not give you a super welcome visit since their problem is that they have excessive qualified applicants, so they donot care that much whether you are impressed or not.

Again, no offence. Just provide you another thought, or view based on my personal experience.

sorry to reply late.  i think i did not express myself exactly in the above passage. actually what they said is top 5. and, for the ranking critiria, i would suggest we ask the students studying at the university now, because they will provide us with more detailed information than an alumni who graduated many years ago.

Dear Tengwei,

Greetings from Tuck!  We are excited to announce a unique opportunity to connect with students at the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth.
"Tuck Connections" is a new program that enables you to email with a current student here at Tuck with like interests to your own.  We want to give you a real picture of the Tuck experience and who better to tell you all about Tuck than our students?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This is the email sent to me from Tuck. Also, I was invited to have dinner with them together.

In fact, although I dislike your comments, you can say what you want. However, at least we have to respect each other and each university.
