keep sb from doing是一个固定搭配，sb存在的作用是使得句子的意思单一话，也也就是要明确being stolen动词的发出。

说说我的看法

本题中， keep sb/sth from doing ..和avoid doing 都是固定搭配 ，选项动词的发出者是与was burried一致的，但being stolen 的“发出者”是chalice,所以选项中必须要跟出chalice或者其代词以避免逻辑混乱。因此选keep it from.
