B 为什么不对。如果人口下降，总消费就下降，也不需要进口了。

文中指涉的是都是人均指数，所以单单一个总量不具决定性影响。
比如，楼主你假设了如果人口下降，总消费就下降这种情况，此时我们并不能确定两者比值的结果即人均消费是上升、下降或是持平，所以无法判断是否应该进口。

我替xiaomage贴一下这个题目：

谷总产量(不变)=肉 (↑)+谷 (?)   如果谷的需求↓, 那么可以平衡, G国仍可以self-sufficient, 结论就不对. 所以E完成了这个assumption, 因为谷的需求≥原来的需求  供不应求,所以必须要进口.

这道题可以取非做, not + weaken.

B个人认为population属于无关,可排除.
