Despite improvements in treatment for asthma, the death rate from this disease has doubled during the past decade from its previous rate. 答案是B?为什么？

我觉得选D，因为有各种不同的压力会导致短命。但是答案是E， 想不通。

以上两题的答案似乎都和题目的scope有所区别，但却是正确的。请教一下逻辑高手。

也就是说下面那个不能support上面的观点了。

A.人口多了，那也就是the recording of deaths due to asthma has become more widespread。就是第一个原因所解释的。

B.记录是一样准确的，那明显和第一个原因 the recording of deaths due to asthma has become more widespread and accurate 是矛盾的。

C.、D.、E 都支持了原因二。

我起初没有注意provides support to the argument except 的except。也判断错了。

thanks for your answer,第二题懂了，但是第一题还是有问题。文章是说前两种解释都不对，仅仅是看那个选项没有支持第三种解释。

个人觉得第一题的答案应该是A，不知道这是哪里来的题？答案肯定准确吗？
