Allegedly: 依其申述；据说，据称
e.g. It's allegedly an effort to manipulate prices.
Main idea: the investigation committee headed by a senator contend that large banks on Wall Street are trying to manipulate prices by taking a huge stock of commodity, such as Al and Cu. However, the risks lie on the shoulders of general public (tax payer, how?). The executives at Goldman Sachs do not agree with the charge by stating the fact that the volume of Al is not affected.

Speed:

Main idea: ways and steps to invest in base material
Structure:
1.        Search stocks of different companies and ETFs in mining sector
2.        Study the trend, the relationship between price of the material and the price of the stock
3.        Monitor metal and companies, and expense and fees of ETF.

secured convertible debenture: 担保可转换债券

难句：“CIC would have the right to declare the principal and accrued interest owing thereunder immediately due and payable, which could result in voluntary or involuntary proceedings involving SouthGobi”

Main idea: The SG borrowed secured convertible debenture from the subsidiary of CIC. The cash at hand is not enough to pay the interest to CIC. If the SG cannot pay interest before extended deadline, it is subjected to proceedings.

Main idea: introduce four types of investments in commodity
Structure:
1.        Advantage of commodity comparing with stocks and bonds
2.        Passive commodity funds that are index funds from Goldman Sachs
3.        Active commodity funds that are managed by managers who want to beat the market
4.        Commodity stock funds target producer using commodities as their material and commodity mutual funds that invest directly in real commodities.
