读商科phd要慎重

http://business.nd.edu/Documents_pdf/facultyvita/pgao.pdf 这和cornell的gao是兄弟，还有这个https://www.isenberg.umass.edu/finopmgt/uploads/textWidget/6379.00001/documents/Lian_Lei_2012.pdf，出身只是一方面，机遇和后天的努力更重要。这两个gao做的都很好

lz的话虽然有点危言耸听，但其实话糙理不糙，除了那些top schools和big names，大部分人做的东西又有多少对实际是有意义的呢？但学术界本来就是一个自娱自乐的地方，不喜欢大可不必进来，industry有的是钱可以赚

前面几所名校的，北清，人大复旦什么的能直接在国内申请到phd。
很多商学院读博士的都是在美国拿到master的，前些年家里有钱送出来读master的很少，
本科是哪儿就不重要了。
现在是another story了, 自费master多得很，不是说有个美国master就能去好学校读博了。

Few business student could be admitted into phd programs i, even for the students from top universities in China.

thank for yr straightness! that is the reason why i study hard to get a full scholarship for my study and do not waste time in teasing others.

I agree. We had better leave the debate where it is now.

By the way, I suspect that in the Chinese context there is not much correlation between the reputation of one's undergraduate institution and his/er inteligence. A newspaper report revealed that it is 60 times more difficult for a high school student in Henan Province to be admitted to a top university than his/er counterpart in Beijing, everything else being equal.

确实，在美国master应该是很大的原因，所以二本的同学还是有申请到芝加哥的，只是要走曲线。
