From (1), we know that in 40% of big, there is 30% of d. In this condition, we can only get that there is 70% of r in this 40% of big. We can never know how much d is left in small. In the same way, from (2) we know that there is 40% of d in 60% of small. In this condition, we can only get that there is 60% of r in small. We can never know how much d is left in big. Only from (1) and (2) can we get enough information to find out the answer. I got confused, too , on my first consideration. ETS is really tricky! Cheers! |
