以mit为例，很多学校总能看到books/supplies/Computer，这几项费用一定要的吗？比如自己买二手书，电脑的话自己带电脑。此外为什么computer要这么贵？每年都要吗？

I think many schools will allow you to use your own computer as long as you have all the required software installed. In most of the schools, computer shall only be a one-time cost.
