答案呢，是选了E的，但是我看不出A错在哪里。。

我理解，题目说的是这个是被外来的artisans建造的，是说它的design是外来的。
而A是说这个建筑本身是当地的石头建的，因此也可是外来的人用当地的石头建这个建筑。

不知道我的解释有没有帮助。

LZ的意思是说A是说制成mosaics的石头不只是来源于当地，那么就有可能来源于其他地区，然后就是由其他地区的traveling artisans创造的吧！但是，如果当地的 artisans发现其他地区的石头很不错，也可以使用其他地区的石头作为原料的一部分，你总不能假定当地的 artisans就接触不到外地的石头吧，也许是什么商贩运输，或者他们自己出去游玩发现的。相比较而言，E是说 artisans没有共同的创作主题，那么不同地区的 artisans就无法具有普遍性，因此创作的内容应该就不相同，所以才会是由traveling artisans给Sepphoris area带来了当地没有的东东！
