One doctoral student position is available in the Micro and Magnetic BioMEMS
group of Engineering Department at the University of Georgia (Athens, GA).
The position starts in Jan 2012. The group’s research centers around the
merging of nano-technology, biotechnology with Micro-Electro-Mechanical
Systems (MEMS), specifically for the medical and lab-on-a-chip applications.
We focus on the development, characterization and functionalization of new
materials and devices, also on physical modeling, synthesis and device
fabrication. We seek graduate student from an engineering (EE/ME) background
with demonstrated creativity, productivity, and ability to work in a
collaborative environment. We welcome inquiries about this opening,
which should include a curriculum vitae, and any published paper or
manuscript in preparation (preferred electronic format: PDF). Applications
for doctoral students will be preferred for those with master degrees.
