求问两道OG上面的题目，这么绕的题竟然没人问过。。

Many scholars, however, doubt the attribution of the Testament to Thorpe because, whereas the Examination is dated 1406, the Testament is dated 1460. A这个选项我都不会断句，没看懂这个选项什么意思。而OG是这么解释的，哪个大神看懂了帮忙告诉一下，多谢！

B是这么解释的：The editor of the 1530 publication could easily have been mistaken about the authorship of one or both works. And even if the editor were correct, Thorpe might have lived long enough to write one work in 1406 and the other in 1460.
我觉得B选项weaken了hypothesis，但是解释怎么看上去在说B选项不够support呢？B选项的解释到底是什么意思？

OG说there is no reason to think that employees' doing so would have made them less productive than they would otherwise have been when absent from work. 我觉得去看医生不就是意味着旷工吗？实在不理解OG的意思

同样在第一题里struggling。感觉这题的关键是读懂题，上网搜了一下testament有expression of conviction的意思，examination有审问审讯的意思，但是觉得还是有点confuse所以直接用了原词。

大概翻译了一下选项A的意思是“历史学家们推断William Thorpe没有死于1460年之前的唯一迹象是根据推测testament的出版时间。” og解释的意思是 历史学家们没有biographical evidence来证明testament是在1406年出版的，但是他们有其他的方法去验证testament是否在1460年出版的比如文化方面的提及，或者参考其他文献。所以没有直接证据支持学者的假设。

选项b我理解的意思是1530年的编辑可能会搞混两个文章的真正的作者因为隔了一段时间，但是即使两个文章都是WT写的，也可以说是WT活的足够久，先在1406年写了一篇，又在1409年写了一篇。所以条件并没有支持学者的假设 说文章就是1409年写的。

第二个题我开始也选了A，后来想清楚了。
1.去看医生不等于矿工啊，可以在下班之后去看病。
2.员工感到不适的时候直接去看病，病会好的更快，这个反而也许会提高工作效率呢。
3.相比较与这个选项，正确选项更能直接解释，

逻辑题就是越相关，越直接，越正确，千万不要钻牛角尖了

政策实施后，员工生病后去医院的频率更高了，既不能证明政策实施后请假员工数量增多（因为之前没有规定只有去医院才能请假），也不能说明员工的生产效率降低（原文没说生病看医生和生病不看医生哪个效率低，说不定看了医生反而效率更高）

问题很关键：Which of the following, if true, would most support the scholar’s hypothesis concerning the date of the Testament? NOT MANY SCHOLARS，所以，任何answers和MANY SCHOLARS相关的都是错误的。

A. The sole evidence that historians have had that William Thorpe died no earlier than 1460 was the presumed date of publication of the Testament.
One scholar没有用1460这个evidence做推论；是many scholars用了这个1460的证据. Many scholars think "because, whereas E is dated 1406, T is dated 1460" --> doubt that WP who wrote E also wrote T. A选项的迷惑点是MANY SCHOLARS用了1460这个evidence，但是题目根本没有问MANY SCHOLAR。Totally irrlevant answer.

进一步看OG对于A的解释：This suggests that SCHOLARS have no biographical evidence that the Testament was published in 1460, but THEY could still have abundant evidence of other types to support that data, such as blablabla. 解释都是在指向mang scholars用这个证据，i.e., 即使他们没有biographical evidence（historican给出的），他们还可以用别的方式去支持那个1460的日子可靠。

用通俗的话解释many scholars的思路：
班里大部分同学：我们怀疑B电影也是某导演的作品，因为A电影上映时间是1980年，而B电影上映时间是2000年。（潜台词，相差20年哦）
A答案的思路：报纸根据 －－－B电影上映时间这个唯一证据 －－－推出 －－－某导演去世的时间不可能早于2000年. 这个答案既不支持也不削若同学们的观点。它没有给出任何有效informaiton。
OG解答的思路是:  班里同学根本就没有文字证据证明B电影就是2000年上映的 （因为报纸也是假定B电影上映日期是正确的，所以报纸没有提供更有力证据)，但是同学们有的别的证据支持2000年B电影确实上映了。

我觉得你们都把这题搞得太复杂了。

这题本身的意思是，第一，1530年publish的testament是examination的appendix。第二，但有些人认为不对，因为examination是1406年发表的，而testatment是1460年发表的。第三，然后有一个人说了，其实那不是1460年，是1409年，因为这两个数字的罗马文很相像，大家估计搞混了。

注意看问题。第一题问的是support the scholar's hypothesis concerning the date of the Testament

hypothesis就是第三句话，（the date of testament)其实那不是1460年，是1409年，因为这两个数字的罗马文很相像，大家估计搞混了。

a选项讲的是学者们唯一可以证明wt（作者）死在了1460年后的证据是被认定的testament的publish date。其实这个选项和本身问题关系不大，这个选项的结论是作者死在了1460年后,publish date是premise，然而我们问的就是publish date,所以a选项排除。

b选项，1530年版本的编辑在preface里说这examination和testament都是wt写的。嗯，hypothesis没有question这两个作品都是wt写的，这已经是既定条件了，所以b选项相当于一句废话，排除。

a Friday in 1409 but not in 1460." 这个选项直接联系到hypothesis,因为通过它，我们可以更加肯定，date of testament其实是1409，也就是hypothesis推断的一致。


第二道题，你这样想，a选项说的那些人，在新规定实施之前，他们就直接请假了，也就是absent from work；新规定实施之后，他们去看医生了，所以也是absent from work。反正都不去上班，你也说不好哪种情况的productivity更高啊。

正确选项是 “Employees coming into work when sick often infect many of their coworker”。非常直接，也非常明显。

我的看法，望指正。the scholar其实就是题里的one scholar,他的逻辑链就是从“罗马数字很容易搞混，时间可能被高错了”推向“Testament的时间应由1460改成1409“。我们只要加强这个逻辑链就OK了。而A其实就是试图质疑WT的死亡时间，因为证据就一个。但是，我们压根不需要讨论WT的死亡时间，这压根不在这条逻辑链里，所以A是无关项。
B，editor把E和T都归功于WT这个人。这俩作品被说成是谁的对我们来说压根不重要，因为我们要加强的是T的时间！所以B无关
