申请NOTRE DAME的各位网上申请状态是什么？

我的一直是not yet complete，发邮件过去问，说不要紧都这样，如果需要什么材料会发邮件给我要的。可是心里不踏实，问问大家是不是也这样？

I am sorry that I didn't make my point clear. ND made a mistake and there was no doubt. I just don't agree with the statement that "20名之后的学校招生真心比较随意". You can't reject all the schools that are not in the top 20 league just because of a small sample of bad experience.

Of course. The college didn't handle this very well . I worked for the international office for an university in US so I understand the perspective of both sides. No school can guarantee all students have satisfactory experience. Generally speaking, private schools are more efficient than public schools. When it comes to individuals, a lot of factors combined will decide the person's experience. I know people who apply for M7 schools have bad experience and also those who apply for 50+ school have very good experience. Pure ranking data or individual experience can't stand for the whole picture. And if you have many American friends, you will realize that in native people's mind, Notre dame's B-school is very top-notch, far better than its ranking (maybe because it's undergraduate b-schools tops the ranking for many years). But its application system is so old-fashioned...This is beyond my understanding...Many 50+ schools have better system than ND. Pray that the school will improve this.

是的，你这里的理由都make sense，让人理解，可是为什么不在邮件里给层主解释而是这里解释呢？给了decision date，到期并没有回复而且没有解释，让申请人焦急等待很久，不可否认这是一个bad experience.

First of all, Christmas is like Spring Festival in China. Universities, big or small, will not do much during the week before or after Christmas. In US, when it comes to holidays, nobody is going to work. They party, travel, etc. Don't people in China try to go home as early as possible before Spring Festival?

Second, this winter is the worst in American history. Severe storms swept across the country. In most cities in USA, people rely on their cars for transportation. When the weather is not good, be it snow or storm or low temperature, it's very dangerous to drive. Government takes this very seriously and does not want to incur any casualties. Schools or even the whole city will shut down sometimes. Even cities in the South like Atlanta shut down this week (the whole highway was paralyzed and people got stuck on highways overnight). Notre dame was shut down several times in the past few weeks.

But it's understandable that you are frustrated. Everyone who ever go through the process knows the bitterness of uncertainty and anxiety! Good luck with other schools.

学院刚换了admission的头，所以可能会有一些乱吧。学校这么做的确有不妥，你再接再厉，还会有很多别的机会的！

结果到了20号，嗯，一点反应也没，网上是not yet completed，没有邮件，没有email通知

好吧，我等到22号发了个邮件问问，结果一封out of office过来说他们celebrating x'mas去了一月2号才回来

然后到了1月3号我再发邮件，没人理了

等到9号，我实在觉得不靠谱，就又发了一封邮件，等到20号，对方终于回复，你被拒了，措辞没有一丝歉意，好像我是下一轮的一样，我就纳闷了，我封封邮件都很客气并且提到12月20号就是你们的decision day，如果确实是疏忽，至少应该说个sorry吧

这位同学相信你也体会过临近decision day的数日子的感觉，不知道如果把你delay一个月没回复你会如何吐槽，我只能总结为随意了。我同事申请的UNC，Georgetown，Olin也都遇到奇葩的事情，ASU那个更加令人无语，没有30名以后申请的样本，我的打击面可能大了点，还请海涵。
