It is universally understand that museum is the one of the typical things in the country. Lots of foreigners are convinced that the best way to realize the country is to visit their museum. If I was a child, I would think visit museum not only help me to know the new country but also interesting. However, when I am an adult, I am not agree with this perspective. Obviously, visiting museum to know the city is like understanding a person by his or her photos. This view of exterior appearance can not give you the whole picture and sprite of the person. Therefore, there are several reasons to support my point.

Getting contact with local people, for my point of view, is the way of most efficiently. The local people are immerged to their culture in every aspect of their life. Thus, communicating with local people can make you know the culture deeply. Because of the new technology, people can easily find the local people and make friends with them. Taking me as an illustration, I have been keeping a long-term relationship with a native American, she is a singer in the night and the teacher in the day time. From her, I acquired a lot of native American culture especially food culture. Communicating with local people is definitely the effective way to learn about the foreign country.

The other convenient way is reading their literature, because the native literature reflect the country's original form. Books in hand, a variety of habits and customs can be well-observed. For example, my favorite English book is pride and prejudice, this book was written by Jane Austin, a representative writer in the 18th century England. This book has a significant impact on my view of that time's culture. The novel description of the social activities, psychological analysis and the status of women, which completely challenged my formal suppose to the culture in that era.

The last reason that I recommend that festival plays are an indispensable role in culture. People created the festival in order to celebrate or memory some  important days in the culture, it is spring from the culture, it can be regards as an expansion of culture behaviour. In my university, the scientific researchers have demonstrated that people who have more understanding about their festival are more adapt to the culture background.

Admittedly, visiting museum directly is a easy way to know the whole city's picture. However, exploring all aspects of a country such as people, literature and festival can able to acknowledge the spirit of the country.
