我选的E啊，答案选B，我想问问，为什么说E是sense 在 movement之前了？说E是目的，那么不是更应该在行动后吗？我感觉B是sense在movement之前呢？小女子第一次发帖啊~~望各大牛解释一下！谢谢！！

同意tony的理解。
GMAT的这种推理问题通常不会妥妥地设置一个完全对应的选项出来，否则就变成同义词替换了。（如果是这样问题到简单了）
这个问题的ADCE选项通通都不是MG这个人主动干了什么事，只有B选项是MG主动做了一件事：had changed number of prevailing ...在方向性上只有B选项和原文create new consciousness是符合的，其它几个选项中MG都不是动作的主动发起者。
推理题还有一种是凭借相似的feature来判断，比如keystone species那篇文章；还有一篇罗斯福夫人的评价的文章也有一道这样的推理题。
总之这类题扫过第一遍以后往往会感觉全都不合适，这个时候就只能往更宽泛的范围里去找相同点。做对不容易。

"creating a consciousness" means that you're making people conscious of some idea for the first time... in other words, an idea of which they were previously unaware.
turning unawareness into awareness = "changing attitudes"

同样是刚刚又做了这道题 也是很无语，如果是用排除法来选择  倒是可以把其他选项排除
A C根本不是scholars的想法
D也不是着重点在于creat这种consciousness上
E说的 Marcus helped bring into being就等于是scholars都承认了这种consciousness不是他creat的 不符合。

所以B的意思好难推理跟理解，是因为是MG created的，所以如果他想要别人接受他created的这个意识，是需要改变一下这么prevailing的atitudes，来不至于强行让别人接受偏激观点么。。。
这篇文章还有这个选项真的要好好理解。。。

原文是 MG create consciousness to build a revitalization. 所以这个new consciousness以前是不存在的， 既然大家没有这个意识， 那如何才能让大家有这个意识，然后支持他的 revitalization？ 只能 让大家 接受 这个 new consciousness --> change prevailing attitude

原文的逻辑是 Marcus Garvey 的movement 建立在社会已经形成的sense上，原文是28行那里。

但是16题的问题是指scholars 的看法，这些scholars的看法是与以上观点相反的。他们认为是marcus create 了这种consciousness
