想问问IF 和 WETHER的区别到底是什么啊？？求牛牛指导

PREP12解释：Whether is preferred to IF when there are only two alternatives Prep12-27
例句：
The coast guard is conducting tests to see whether pigeons can be trained to help find survivors of wrecks at sea.

OG 13解释：depends on是取决于，要接“情况能否发生”；而if是“假设情况发生了”，所以选whether不选if。
例句：
Beyond the immediate cash flow crisis that the museum faces, its survival depends on whether it can broaden its membership and leave its cramped quarters for a site where it can store and exhibit its more than 12k artifacts.

引导从句：
1. if表示如果的意思。

2.whether表示是否：1）引导宾语从句的时候：不要加or not。
2) 引导状语从句的时候：要加or not。（不过，在G考试中还没有见过whether or not正确的时候，这条是出于谨慎。LZ要是记不住第二条，就记得whether or not中or not赘余错误基本也够用）
