Thefollowing memo was circulated by the management team of a retail company:

“Weare very pleased to announce that the relocation of our inventory, which hadbeen located in four different warehouses throughout the country, to a singlenew warehouse near Company headquarters in Boston.  This consolidatedlocation will cut the company’s expenses for warehouse rent in half.  As aresult we expect our monthly profitability to go up by this amount.”

我找到的几个漏洞是这样的:
1. one-sideness: 由于把四个仓库归并为一个仓库,仓库的容量很可能变小了,阻碍了货物的库存量,有碍销量,因而利润可能受影响.
2. 也许这项政策的出台是基于该公司销售业绩持续下滑的情况,因而即使实施了这项政策,很可能只是部分减缓了利润下跌,而不会"monthly profitability to go up by this amount"

还有税的问题。Boston大城市税高吧。

要看经销渠道。rent降低了因为只有一个点而造成运输费上涨，那么也不能说profit就会涨。
