我们是Illinois MBA 2013届的同学，‘12有2名大陆生，’13有4名，今年size of class成长到了123个 人，比去年的多了将近20个，但已经达至上限，估计明年也不会有太多的增长，维持小班的宽松风格，上课分成2 个section，小班授课好处多，不像HBS那些个名校弄不弄就是1000+名，good news是，commitee有感于去年中国申请人的热情，今年准备录取6到8名来自中国的学生，算上可能回绝offer的情况，发出的offer可能会上2位数。今年illinois MBA的US News名次从42涨到了37，维持近几年的上升势头。项目Dean要将MBA推入top20的激情继续燃烧中。MBA ROI（投入回报率）历年均位列全美3甲。奖学金出的也不难，即使申请的时候没有，2年内还有无数scholarship competition的机会。毕业生80%都留在了Mid-West工作，个人认为是美国最适合生活的区域。历年大陆生毕业留美的比例约为50%。具体班级组成，请看http://www.mba.illinois.edu/admissions/。
班级组成比较diversified，banking,Corporate, IT, Engineering,市场，operation，consulting都有。行业也几乎涵盖所有，甚至连MD都有，天天给我们灌输医院道德悖论。
今年平均GMAT650，也接受GRE，T只要别太低就可以，不过貌似低于104的要ESL。工作经验平均4年出头一点儿。 concentration主要是市场和金融，不过项目灵活度很大，第二年可以自定制课程。一般同学都有多于1个的concentration。
特色兴趣小组，IBC（illinois business consulting）有志consulting的同学们可以参与一下。
上课位于商学院BIF楼 （business instruction facility），2008年落成，全校唯一一栋不受大学管制的教学楼，历年商学院校友集资捐建，牛逼的不行，LEED platinum 建筑，（懂的同学可以给解释一下）。MBA和其他商科MS占领三楼，BIF美景一览无遗。

As to the more subjective aspectsof the application, we are looking for the following qualities:
1.Career-driven: Wewant all of our candidates to have a strong understanding of where they arecurrently at in their career, what their post-MBA career goals, and how theIllinois MBA’s curriculum and program offerings will help them to reach theirgoals. We evaluate this through the essays as well as the admissions interview.We generally want candidates to have at least two years of work experience andfive to six years is an ideal amount of work experience for a competitiveapplicant.
2.Team player: So muchof the MBA program is completed as part of a team, so we are looking forcandidates who have experience working in teams. Showing us that they can workthrough challenges presented by team dynamics is also valuable. We want to seehow candidates approach conflict to reach a mutual understanding.
3.Enthusiastic: On topof being qualified to succeed as an MBA student in the classroom, we also wantcandidates who are enthusiastic about joining the Illinois MBA. There are a lotof opportunities to get involved outside of the classroom, whether for socialevents or for experiential learning opportunities or for club activities.Showing involvement in volunteer organizations is a good way to show that theyare going to be engaged with their classmates at Illinois. When we see atalented professional who is also excited to experience everything our programhas to offer, it can take that application up to the next level.

你好，我想问下uiuc的curriculum是不规定好的吗？自己还能修其他课程吗？我一直在官网上找寻curriculum的信息都没有，很想了解一下这些年uiuc mba的课程设置。另外，我想问，在Mba课程外，我可以选accounting的课吗？我毕业后比较想往financial accounting和ｃｏｒｐｏｒａｔｅ　ｆｉｎａｎｃｅ方向走，另外也想考ｃｐａ．谢谢！

楼主还在不？ 那个31，000的学费有没有包括那个FEE， 一年3千刀。 还是蛮大的费用。

请问LZ，我申请了UIUC的R2，我本人是本科英国IMPERIAL COLLEGE 2005年毕业，然后再加拿大工作4年，现在加拿大公民身份，ADMISSION给我信要我去重新考IELTS 和TOEFL, 我申请了几所都没有这个要求，去信和电话ADMISSION OFFICE也没有回音，请问我是否可以 WAIVE掉TOEFL，谢谢

各位对UIUC也就是IMBA感兴趣的同学，这个帖子是非常好的参考。
UIUC是个有自己特色的学校，适不适合各位可能要看各位的career path是怎样的，


在这里有两点优势跟大家说一下
1.刚出的FT被排到美国20位
2.我们现在在校的MBA正在组织一个network，把往届毕业之后已经留在美国的中国学长都联系起来，这样能尽量给予新加入的MBA帮助，这对想留在美国的人，与其他同tier的MBA的program是一个优势。


有的同学问到case interview的问题，有个网站可以参考一下caseinterview.com


另外已经决定去IMBA的同学，往年都会有一个Case competition的活动，呼吁大家参加。在芝加哥，费用自理，但是学校会reimbursement $2000，这个在各个方面都是一个比你的peer领先起步的重要机会

楼主辛苦啦～～有一个问题想问。
UIUC还真的是很热情呢，我昨天晚上刚刚skype面了UIUC MBA，今天早上就收到mba一个学生的邮件，讲he was asked by Admissions team to set up a meeting to discuss about the program and goals. 请问这是什么情况啊？这样算是一个interview吗？还是只是for information only呢？
