初稿。
总觉得自己写的很不像ps。求拍砖。。。。。My first exposure to finance was the movie "rogue trader" at the age of 12, which was about Nick Leeson and Barings Bank. When Leeson using the example of selling a cup of Cappuccino to explain the term "futures contract", when he taking advantage of arbitrage opportunities to make his first profit of 2,000 quid, when he disappointedly saying "i wasn't running a position any more, the position was running me", all of these plots attracted me a lot and arouse my enormous interest in financial market. Yet I realized the necessity of mathematical tools to financial services, and with great talent in maths I majored in statistics in the Department of Mathematics, XX University -- one of the Chinese national "985 & 211 project" known for its mathematical program.

Three years' undergraduate study provides me with a sound base in mathematics and financial market, as well as social activities training my leadership and cooperation. The strong basic professional knowledge, including 3-semester Mathematical Analysis classes, 2-semester Advanced Algebra courses and Probability study, all contributed to my national scholarship (2 out of about 125 students). Besides, what I've learned in other curricula, such as Functions of Complex Variables, Stochastic Processes, Mathematical Modeling, Statistics, ODEs and PDEs, Applied Regression Analysis, Time Series Analysis and C++ Programming, provided me basic instruments dealing with financial market. Also after reading the John C. Hull Bible - Options, Futures and Other Derivatives, I understood the term and operation system in movie "rogue trader" better and reinforced my determination to choose mathematical finance program during graduate study.

Except the professional study, my social activity as a monitress and internship in Hua Xia Bank strengthened my faith in mathematical finance study. As a monitress, I've organized several class tours. In order to decide when and where to go, I discussed with the whole class committee trying to weigh the tour costs, security and danger, various individual's interests, weather condition and so on, which trained my leadership, cooperation spirit and also the ability to analyze and balance benefits and risks. What's more, the three-month internship in XX Bank as a financial planner, the one who designs a proper plan meeting the clients' financial goal based on their individual needs and resources. During my financial planner period, who impressed me most was my first client - Mr. Wang, a father of 11-year-old child, whose family with no liability earned about 20,000 a month and one quarter of it would be spent on daily life. Based on my understanding and analysis about his needs and resources, I suggested Mr. Wang 1)deposit some money to ensure 3 to 6 months family expenditure; 2)buy accident insurance for the couple just in case; 3)invest in bond fund for child's future education; 4)schedule to vote fund for their future pension requirements; 5)invest in some low-risk financial products to hedge risk, as well as a few high-risk but high-return investment such as stock market. Those working experiences developed my ability of material collection, effective analysis and overall planning, and also deepened my understanding of financial market and enhanced my confidence in future financial work.

With my sound mathematical foundation and strong interests in finance, I have greatest interest in financial engineering studies than most of others. However, sophisticated knowledge in this field is lacking in China. Among Chinese colleges there is no professional institution like XX University providing well-structured curriculum, highly-productive faculty as well as a multitude of real-world projects matches my academic mathematical background and interest in financial market perfectly in financial engineering program. After the completion of the master program, I prefer to be a quant or focus on risk management work, and your program's diverse student bodies and strong alumni works will definitely become a stepping stone leading me to achieve my career goal.

楼主想请教你。是不是CV里面有的其实就不用在PS里面面面俱到了,腔调WHY US,WHY YOUR SCHOOL,WHY THIS MAJOR比较重要?
