看了各位大牛解答之后我的想法
1，因为大多数irradiated food是生吃的，所以不能和cooking比较
这是因为如果这些食物不被irradiated，那么它们其实也不会被cooking，所以对于这些食物，不能引入cooking

2，对于需要cooking的食物，不能和cooking比较
这是因为，如果cooking的过程中包括了irradiation对食物的毁坏作用，两者效果叠加后必然大于单一效果，此时不能比较两个因子的大小。也就说x+y>x是必然成立的，推不出x和y的大小关系

E选项刚好说明了cooking和irradiation对vitamin B1的破坏作用不能够比较
因为1. mucn irradiated food是生吃的，也就是不需要cooking的，既然不需要cooking就谈不到irradiation和cooking的比较，所以是beside the point
2. 即使是不能生吃的irradiated food，需要cooking，但是这个食物是在irradiate的基础上进行cook，两个作用是叠加在一起的，所以那个破坏作用大哪个小进行比较是没有意义和具有误导性的，因此misleading

C选项只是说明了cooking和irradiation的目的和作用，无法反驳proponent的观点
D选项恰好是支持了proponent的观点

这是个词组，是答非所问、不切正题的意思。这个句子this fact is either beside the point意思是这个事实讲得不对。

那就是说proponens 认为irritation 和cooking对于destroy VB1是差不多的
那答案E告诉我们其实我们是得不出这种结论的，原因是for food that is both irradiated and cooked
他们对于VB1损害的结果必然是大于两者单独叠加起来的，所以我们是不能推出哪个大哪个小
