有必要drop B左右的课程吗

去年有三门课的成绩不是特别理想：

PHD level macro II: B
Theory of statistics II: B+
Time Series Analysis: B+

现在应该有机会drop macro，和后二者中的一门，大家觉得
有必要drop吗？drop哪一门？

主要是怕成绩不好，影响finance博士的申请。

PS, drop已经出成绩的课成绩单上会留一个特别的记号。

W is usually given to a student who drop off a course after the course is already more than half way through. That is, between the midterm and the final. So people who withdraw usually do so because they are really struggling. Otherwise, if they just did not do well on the midterm, they can opt to take it credit/no credit, which allows them to conceal the grades but still get the credits.

So in short, in many schools if you don't do well on the midterm, you have two options: 1. take it credit/no credit, 2. withdraw.

几乎所有学校都可以吧？只是大多数学校好像都是成绩出来前有个deadline可以withdraw~都有个W在上面~
所以大家都知道什么意思。。。
B,B+不一定要drop吧，不是太差啊而且drop浪费好多credits呢呵呵~

I would consider withdraw only if its B- or below. Also, it depends on how good is the school you are currently taking courses from.

it's a school that is pretty good in statistics and econ. how will this effect?

我还以为就我们学校有，
所以将来committee不会知道那个"W"具体什么意思呢

a withdraw is worth than a B, B+ I think. They know that you didn't get an A if you withdrew, so they will think you got <=B.
