SC背景转Finance，怎么往上面靠啊

工作7年都是在供应链管理，更确切的说是供应商管理，那么想靠着MBA转行，转去corporate finance或者IB的话，在自己career statement上面怎么体现出来呢？！一头雾水，总不能说做了很多年SCM，发觉更喜欢IB，这样不让人信服啊。求过来人和知情人士指导

Hey there—so glad that you asked this question.  First of all, be VERY careful—no admissions committee wants to hear about a career change.  The idea that you want to do something that you don’t have lots of background in will make any adcom a bit nervous.  So honestly, if you were our client, I would tell you to NOT EVEN TALK ABOUT FINANCE in your app.  Instead, talk about SCM!  There are so few applicants in this area—even fewer who are WELL VERSED in the area.Use that to your advantage!  Don’t worry about finance.  Once you get to school, you can do whateeeever you want.  But don’t even worry about tying those dots together.  If you focus on SCM, and present yourself as a great SCM candidate, you will get into bschool.  You are taking a huuuuge risk to present a career change to the adcom.  Hope this helps—and good luck to you!

工作的关系参加了几次M&A，当然参与进去也主要是以做自己的本职工作而已(sourcing integration)，发现自己很感兴趣，很有挑战。当然I would totally be lying if I said money isn't an issue.
