engineer读mba. goal essay写不出来。。

这是个诉苦贴。。。

之前一直埋头做软件，潜心技术，突然一天发现写不动代码了，也不想写了，而且意识到业务才是王道，所以想申请MBA。但是由于之前exposure太少，思考也不够，至今也没有想到自己想做什么。。 现在眼看1月的deadline一天天临近，我急得啊。。  可是还是不知道写什么。。 哎，不知道尘埃落定后自己会在哪。

相同的经历，建议你可以这样思考一下（并不是我思考的过程，因为我思考了两年，中间反复曲折很多，目前我的答案也许是反复告诉，自我催眠的结果，但已经是我最确定的结果了）

1，你向往哪个行业。IT？
2，在这个行业里，你向往有什么样的影响。（提供服务，做出决定，整合资源，等。咨询应该是提供解决方案，并无决策性权利）

确定了以后就足够了，至于Specific，那就是语言上表述的问题了。

it咨询不需要mba的，多找机会去企业做项目，有几个完整的项目经验就上道了。

Hello my friend.  Happy to offer up some thoughts here.  The answer is that it is VERY possible for you to get into bschool.  You will just need to focus on your leadership roles, and not as much on your technical roles.  You have been working for 3 years, which is just perfect for most schools.  You just need to make it clear that you are a LEADER, and not just a programmer. If you can do that, through your work experience especially, you will be fine this year.  Good luck to you!

Essay写不出来是常事，你可以试试一下这个办法。

1. forget about career goal. In fact, forget about any goal.
2. Now, think about your dream, something you are passionate about. The least thing you worry about is money. There is good money everywhere if you put in hard work. So you might as well enjoy and love it while doing it.
3. Now, tell me what do you want to do? Is it ibanker? Is it management consulting? Or is it anything else? What are you passionate about? What if you work not for the money, what do you want to do?
4. Repeat 1-3 again. Relax, don't worry about essay.
5. Now, figure out how do you go from NOW to your dream. Hopefully, MBA is somewhere on the path

有人说工作3年，goal essay不是太重要？  是真的吗？   希望有人指点下迷津。。  我07年不知名小本毕业，500强银行在上海的研发中心软件开发2年，500强IT公司长沙研发中心软件开发1年，目前职位team lead   740/4  104  3.7
