弱问：圣诞节会如何影响材料寄送？

其实是想问：
1.圣诞节期间快递工不工作？
2.是否会发生圣诞节期间学校无人上班导致材料在1月初的截止日期之后才送达？
比如我在12月21号用EMS寄送材料给美国研究生院，通常情况下是能赶在1.5之前送到的，但是会不会因为圣诞节导致无法按时送达。

Yes, the postal service does work.  There will be two holidays in the US in which there will be NO postage—December 25 and January 1.  Every other day will be working—so just add one extra day to your planning, and you should be just fine.  You will also want to invest in the fastest, most efficient shipping service that you can find.  And besides, most schools will prefer that you submit online anyway…

我个人的感觉，可能有影响，因为圣诞节的时候，美国人大批量的寄送圣诞礼物，对速度，准确性都可能有影响。
