An unbiased observer of everyday encounters in Western societies would surely not find many instances of unkindness by people under 65 toward people over 65. There are undoubtedly incidents of unkindness based on age, and these warrant reproof. 大概意思是说西方社会统计,对65岁以上老年的尊重问题, 小于65的人(付出尊重的)有71%认为做的不够, 而65以上(获得尊重的) 有44%认为没能充分被尊重

问题是作者认为西方社会整体来说是尊重65以上老人的,这个基于什么

(A) 小于65的人对65以上就好像和对同样小于65的人一样对待
(B) 数据显示高于65的比低于65的人更少的被不尊重
(C) 对老年人的不尊重并没有什么直接损害

问题答案是E因为从题目中看,应当付出尊重的人群比接受尊重的人群更加意识到应该更多的给予老年人尊重,从市场角度说,属于生产过剩(笑)或者至少是supply>Demand,所以整体社会更偏向于付出尊重而不是索取尊重,所以尊重是相对来说足够的,那么,社会风气自然是偏向尊重老年人了
