请教 Wharton essay （2011入学）的理解

1. Discuss a time when you navigated a challenging experience in either a personal or professional relationship. (600 words)  

此题是让申请者描述如何掌控一次具有挑战性的经历，人际关系方面或者职业关系方面？对后者不是很理解。这是指成功解决和上司、同事或者客户之间的矛盾么？如果只是描述个人如何解决一个工作上的难题，然后布置下属去做，是不是就跑题了？

我现在发愁这类题目能有什么learning呢？
比如说我写一个故事，我的senior让我去问客户要很多资料，客户觉得我的senior做事太婆妈，很多东西根本没必要，不肯配合。我一方面说服我的senior减少资料，同客户老板沟通，一方面跟客户沟通，让她配合我们，因为误了deadline对她也没好处。结果两方面终于各让一步，完成了项目。
感觉还是太boring啊啊啊，我疯了

这个故事没啥不好的，如果没有更好的故事，就把这个好好写写~重要的是你怎么看待这个故事和对你有什么影响。

可是没什么learning啊，怎么升华这类题目呢？

The point here is that the admissions committee is trying to figure out how you relate to people.  It doesnt matter if it is a personal relationship (something in your home life) or a professional relationship (something at work).  What they are looking to see is that you have the skills to relate to people, to communicate, to help them through problems, etc. You absolutely can talk about the time when you had your staff solve a problem at work--but you need to focus in the essay on the interactions you had with the staff.  HOW did you speak with them?  How did you inspire them? What was that interaction like?  That is the key--the personal interaction.  What was the nature of that interaction--whether personal, or professional.  Hope this helps!
