Kellogg面试被waived的进来讨论一下

我是2月10日收到这封信的. 说是被waived掉不影响申请, 但我总感觉被ding了似的. 有没有了解kellogg的情况来说说?

There has been a significant increase in the number of interview requests this year in your area; therefore we can not accommodate your request without making excessive demands of our alumni interviewers.We are waiving your interview requirement so as not to delay the submission or processing of your application.

Please be assured that this waiver will in no way negatively impact your candidacy. The Admissions Committee understands and expects these conditions and will certainly take them into consideration when reviewing your application. The interview is a single factor in your evaluation and is by no means the most important criterion for admission. The committee will contact you personally if they feel they need further clarification on any aspect of your file.

waive 的是applicants的'your interview requirement ',并不代表kellogg招人不面试.
也就是说, 现在kellogg的招生和其它学校一样,是by invitiation的.
所以就耐心等着了.
有invite的说明机会很大.
到deadline还没有invite说明机会不大.

不是这个意思，WAIVED就是安排不上面试了。
如果WAIVED了又重新面试的就是看了材料真的很感兴趣。

我在CD上好像见着所有报录取的人都是有面试过的，不管是alumni，on campus还是interview waived以后补的phone interview.想问问你知道有从头到尾都没有面试的大陆申请人被录取的例子吗？
再过两天我就要交另一个学校的定金了，能不能帮忙向adcom打听一下今年R2的decision从什么时候开始发？

WAIVE了也不是坏事。WAIVE了以后再通知面试，那面试完就基本成了。可没有WAIVE就面试了，成功的希望还是不大。

其实也没啥好讨论的了，官方说waive与否不影响录取，但是至今没听到过有没有interview就录取的。。。而很多被waive的人都打过电话发过邮件，结果只是adcom重复policy的内容，没有商量余地。
也就是说，现在被waive的人，是完全被动的。。如果等不到phone interview，也就基本挂了

我觉得waive就waive了，applicant真的太多了，估计再纠缠也没用
