你有好的理由解释为什么要转吗?如果对方老师有顾虑,很可能直接电话你们系的老师.

敢问楼主,你有没有别的教授推荐你?不然你怎么说明你目前项目的状态?如果你老板非常之牛,愿意为你亲自给他朋友们一个一个打电话你也不告诉他?

Thanks a lot,  tslibin. I am not in but decide to transfer to an IS program.  As it is the same as you suggestion, almost all my friends suggest that I should not tell my current advisor until I get an admission. Although my advisor might probably write a very strong letter for me, I still choose not to tell my advisor. I am kind of risk-aversion.

Why transfter to another IS program?   Any other programs except OB are better than IS.
