Research Assistant Position
(Available all year round)
Professor Zhitao Yin is looking for undergrad/master students who are interested in working with him as a research assistant (about 20 hours/week over 10-12 months), either remotely on a part-time basis (open to students from any locations) or in residence at HKUST (for current HKUST undergrad/master students only).
This position is ideal for candidates who are: - Motivated to apply to economics/ business school / public-policy Ph.D. programs in leading universities and want to get some research experience or would like to know more about research due to a lack of connections with existing Ph.D. students or faculty,
- Interested in topics around technology, innovation, and entrepreneurship,
- Proficient in data collection, data cleaning, and exploratory analysis,
- Proficient in programming languages such as Python, R and/or Stata,
- Comfortable with English working environment, and
- With Econometric training including exposure to quasi-experimental research designs (this is a plus but not necessary)
