Advertising by mail has become much less effective, with fewer consumers responding. 正确答案是E,但我选的是B。我觉得这两个选项都有问题
我选B的理由是:既然成功的公司已经有针对性的向顾客发邮件,而他们是“成功的公司”,已经成功了,那说明这个方法是有效的,即有针对性的向顾客发邮件以提高回复率是有效的,支持原文
E选项它说carefully targeted的电子邮件比其他形式的广告能收到更多回复,也支持了原文,但是“其他广告形式”我认为超出了题目范围,因为我认为原文比较的是“有针对性的电子邮件广告”和“没有针对性的电子邮件广告”,而不是“有针对性的电子邮件广告”和“有针对性的其他广告”

有人能解答我的疑问吗

想请教下答案D 为什么不对? 我理解定位于个人的邮件里面的广告材料的质量的提高可以提高回复率,相当于是原文逻辑链细节或子集的补充。求大神解答。

E選項我覺得other forms of advertising就是指全部其他種沒有carefully targeted的廣告, 那既然有針對目標廣告郵件的respond rate 高過所有其他的廣告, 那自然就加強了結論

而且”沒有針對性的其他广告“本身就包含了 “没有针对性的电子邮件广告”
其他廣告是一個大範圍概括, 而電子郵件只是"其他廣告"的一種
