Technological improvements and reduced equipment costs have made converting solar energy directly into electricity far more cost-efficient in the last decade. threshold代表油价上涨多少能超过solar使得solar更economic，而这是能力/性质，比较的是solar和oil-plant的效率关系，现在不变就代表同时上升，与价格怎么变无关

我的理解是
oil-plant cost有两方面影响因素 油价和转换效率
threshold是油价需要上涨的幅度使得
oil-plant cost 刚好> solar cost的零界点，过了这个点solar才更经济
而因为threshold没有变
solar cost又在降低
说明oil-plant的效率同步上升
使得原来油价涨多少能超过solar
现在也涨多少。
这是一个能力的衡量
跟油价上涨如何没关系吧。。。。

C: solar power不划算。

背景：
1，oil就是crude oil俗称石油。
2，solar power发电 一般情况下比 oil发电 贵。
3，oil发电贵在oil原料本身贵，而solar发电贵在技术，因为solar太阳能里太阳光是免费的，贵的贵在那些硅板子和维护上。
4，石油的计价现在是以dollars/barrel来的，现在大概$50/barrel，石油危机时大概可以到$120/barrel。然后这个threshold of economic viability for solar power其实就是拿石油$/barrel的对等换算。
5，只有当oil被阿拉伯国家哄抬价钱的特殊时期时，比如08年和各种“石油危机”时，也就是石油特别贵的时候，solar发电才变得划算。“BTW，这题应该挺老的，现在solar发电有些地方还是很划算的”）

P：solar发电 技术发展很快

选项分析：
A：油价大幅下降。其实是不错的理由，但现在的油价是什么呢？假设过去油价本来就低的和水一样，那即便现在油价fallen dramatically是水的一半，也对solar发电技术eco viability没有帮助。
B：solar equipment成本降低。其实是不错的理由，但solar equipment的成本是个“significant”的因素吗？权重大吗？能决定solar的economic viability吗？文章没说。
C: 油发电的技术也发展很快。这正好和solar发展快counter了。两个都发展一样快的话，那两者的差距就没什么变化。
D: 大部分的电都是烧煤转来的，而不是油转电来的。本来就没讨论煤，无关。
E：油价升高时，原来未开采的现在make economic sense了。

亲，太不好意思啦，我没看懂。
每个人的解题思路都有一点不一样，等下回碰到难题，你试试好不好使。要是有用就可以继续用。

这句话只是个短语。然后which引导的这句话的逻辑主语是oil吧。

hhhhh我用了一个不用弄清经济术语关系的方法做这个题，你看一下想法对不。
increased cost-efficiency of solar power，对应的应该是 decreased its threshold of economic viability.
题干给的就是这个threshold of economic viability是“oil price本该增的量（would have to rise）”，它可以让太阳能工厂更economical。
也就是说，price增长，其实对太阳能工厂更有利。
但是，threshold of economic viability没有变化。也就是说oil price木有增。
原因能就是，人家石油也变高效厉害了，不用增price。
逻辑链： increased cost-efficiency of solar power——》 decreased its threshold of economic viability.——》oil price would have to rise
找逻辑链中，本应该price增，却没增的原因！！然后就是C选项了。
Bingo！！！
