答案是E，我可以理解E的逻辑，是说此类文章的减少也可能是由于编辑选稿标准的变化。
但是想问问为什么B不可以呢？
OG上的解释B A decline in waiting time would seem to promote more articles about accelerator research being written and published, not fewer.
以下是我的想法：题干中说作者认为可使用加速器的减少是去年有关文章减少的原因，B中说这几年科学家使用加速器前的等待时间越来越短，我认为这提供了证据说明虽然加速器减少，但是没有影响科学家对它的使用，所以undermine the argument.

求指教……我是哪一步的思路有问题呢……

不知道这样理解对不对其他选项没说“因”，说什么都不对

看你问的问题应该是刚刚接触GMAT不久，对于GMAT CR题的一些基本规则还不是很熟悉。

这题要削弱的是 加速 ...

所以应该理解为 虽然加速器使用少了，但是文章减少不是因为这个原因，是吗？
其他选项都是围绕着加速器虽然减少，但是依旧频繁的使用，所以错了
不知道这样理解对不对

和6楼说的一样,accelerator前年肯定是unavailable的
b选项说的也没错，但你的理解有问题，B说“近年来”加速器的预约等待时间减少，这不等于“去年”就available，去年题里说了就是unavailable,千万别自己脑补。
题外话，你要是用过这玩意的话会发现如果真的坏了，那大家一起完蛋，你预约等待时间虽然没变，但是你去了也用不了。(一般预约这种仪器都是三个月到半年，因为全世界也就那么几十台，中国好像有两台）
