The GMAT requirement is higher and higher not because the Admission Officers thinks the higher the GMAT the higher the qualification a candidate will be, but because Chinese students tend to have higher GMAT grades. I have several conversation with my professors and admission officers and they know Chinese students have access to the GMAT forum which helps them to boost their grade. If you have poor communication skills during the interview, they understand you cheat on the GMAT exam, thus giving a negative impact on your application. That is why I said language skills is very important

嗯嗯，时间短差不多是应届生申请的通病吧，在这个前提下，也只能尽量提高做的东西的档次了。

However, if you can get an internship offer from a investment bank before the deadline, thats an other story.

Working experience will definitely the most important thing and will add the most value to your application. However, due to the time constraint, working experience is the most difficult thing that you can improve and put it on your resume. No matter the reputation of the company, the title of your position and the nature of your responsibility are all going to affect your working experience.

I have several friends studying at USC. They said GMAT is not the most important criteria the Admission Officer is looking for, but GPA and language skills. My friends have GMAT only around 680 or so. 700 is already pretty good and boosting it higher will not generate justifiable return,
