It follows, then, that the sales of Whirlwind video games are likely to increase dramatically in the next few months.

In this editorial, the author considers that the sales of Whirlwind video games are going to increase in a next few months.Though the author gives a lot of evidences and the result of a survey to develop this opinion, the assumption made in this article is full of holes and it is less likely to convince its conclusion.



By giving a result of a survey of video game, the author assumes that this survey is convinced enough and it is suitable to use as a reference to the Whirlwind video games.However, things may be different than that.This survey, though it has been made recently, may not reflect the real view of the market of video game.Since they just ask the video game players of their opinion, but have no statistic about the number of the players, we could never easily have an optimistic opinion.If the total number of the video game players shrink, the business of the video game seem less likely to have a bright future.Besides, we have no idea about the range of the survey.Perhaps that the survey is based on a global sample, while the customer of Whirlwind video games only limited in a few states of America, and what these customers prefer is another kind of video game.Under that condition, the sales of Whirlwind video games is less likely to make a great change as the author says.



Whirlwind video games has now introduced several on-popular video games never guarantee its highly increasing sale.The author assumed that the adverting is going to have a great effort of selling.Since the quality of the advertisement is not clear to us, we could never agree with this opinion.Maybe these advertisements are in poor quality that it causes a backfire effort just opposite what the author assuming.Another possibility is that they put most of their advertisement on radio and TV, however, those who would like to play video games only prefer to surf the Internet and they even seldom see the advertisements the new video game from Whirlwind.Bad advertisement channel could harm the effort of an advertisement.



Moreover, even though the advertisement has a fantastic effort and the right channel to its customers, we could never be sure that the sale of Whirlwind video games is going to increase.Since these video games are towards people ages between ten to twenty-five, it means that those who play the game and those who buy the game could be different people.These young people are more likely to be under the control of their parents. We are less likely to see a ten-year-old boy who is able to earn his own money and buy whatever he wants.If the boy's mother is upset by the advertisement of Whirlwind video games, she is less likely going to buy this video game for her son.That means if the advertisement could never pleased with those parents of their customers, they are less likely to have a wonderful selling.



To sum up, this argument is full of unbelievable assumptions and it is less likely to defend its conclusion. Though an increasing sell is what the company would like to see, we must make our predication according to the truth.
