合：作为一个国家的领导者，是一个普通的人类，良好的品德非常重要；但是对于他的职业来说，他可能需要在必要的时候牺牲personal moral 来为国家追求更大的效率。



 With the fabulous development of our society and the striking progress of democracy, the topic about politic are receiver much more attention. When it comes to the problem of standard of public official, the author indicates that public officials must maintain the highest ethical and moral standards in order to be an effective leader. The author's indication seems rather convincing at the first glance, however, careful scrutiny of this issue, I am afraid that the author may ignore some truths.

 Admittedly ,the highest ethical and moral standards are important not only to the leader himself, but also to his nation. On one hand, personal charisma plays an indispensable role in transform an infirm society into a solid one, according to Web Jerryson's theory, and histories are abundant of such examples. Martin Luther King, a estimable hero who led the populace to liberating black slaves and pursued an equal life for the black, were supported by untold people on accounting of his valuable virtue including integrity and persistence.That is to say,  honorable ethical and moral are contributing to the leader's career. On the other hand,  "the proper aim of politic is more virtue ",as Aristotle once said, when a nation is leaded by a politician who owns the highest ethical and moral standards, it is reasonable to conclude that the possibility that his people hallow moral standards is much higher.In this circumstance, a great politician could contribute to his nation's moral development.

     Though the author’s assertion has its worth ,it is still untenable .As a politician ,his efficiency is linked to a particular nation,thus a confliction with other nation is inevitable sometimes. A often cited example is the Iraq War, which was waged by American president Bush.Considering the fact that this war could not only guarantee the safety of the USA, but also distract the restive citizens from disappointing national problems including high unemployment and economic depression,Bush is regarded as a hero with high moral standard because of his insight and wisdom.Conversely, suffering from injuries and deaths, the populace in Iraq would portray Bush as disgusting miscreant who is voracious as well as violent.This contradiction reveals that the politician’s  highest moral standard might be confined to a nation,and it may trespass the normal moral sometimes.What’s more, try to image how terrible our  world  would be if all politicians are sticking to the so-called high standard, so it is possible that a politician need to subordinate his personal moral to political moral.

   In sum ,on the one hand, a politician is also a normal person who is required to aspire high moral standard.On the other hand, as a politician ,it is his obligation to overstate his nation and give up personal moral for the nation’s efficiency.

我感觉你模糊了两个概念personal moral 和highest ethical and moral standards，作为领导人，必须具备较好的个人道德水准，但是否是最高的，是值得商榷的，我们选举领导人首要的目的不是选道德模范而是有领导力和决策能力的人。

其实写到反的时候，自己也觉得怪怪的，之前的提纲列的有点偏。论证好像有问题了，但是就硬着头皮写下去了。
每次写结尾时间都会不够，所以最后就很潦草了，是个问题。。。。
