Do you agree with the following statementthat patience is usually not a good strategy, we should take action now ratherthan later.
Many people treat patience as anindispensable factor before making any decisions, while others hold oppositeopinions that patience will not bring any benefits for decision-making, but actuallywaste precious time. For me, I believe that it is not wise to treat patience asa good strategy and we should take action as soon as possible. First and foremost, the increasing pace ofmodern society is forcing everyone to keep alert all the time, under thiscircumstance, although we may just relax ourselves for only one moment, we willdefinitely find it hard to keep up with others. As the old saying goes, time ismoney, I do not mean that earning a lot of money is the final goal, but moneyhere equals success, and more and more people are gradually realizing that timerepresent success at present. So, if we choose to be patient before taking anyactions, in other words, if we choose to waste precious time, we will let greatopportunities flee, while others who have already made it clear that it isbetter to take actions now rather than later will catch the chances missed byus. Apart from the reason above, in my opinion, patience sometimes means hesitation. In my country, old values regardhesitation as a fatal factor for decision-making, and according to a recent countrywide investigation, majority of people have at least one experience that theyfinally make wrong decisions thanks to being over patient. For instance, themost common situation in my country now is that almost everyone is regrettingfor not buying houses as more as possible in last few years, because of the skyrocketing prices of houses today, they set forth that being so patient leadthem to missing the best chance for making money in the house market. Concludingall these truths I can state that sometimes patience lead to failure. Although I believe that patience will notbring any benefits for decision-making, I will not ignore some advantages ofbeing patient. Patience will definitely bring more time for us to think overthe chances or problems we are facing, and patience will decrease the risks wemay face during the process of decision-making. To sum up, it is pivotal take actions nowrather than later, and I still insist that patience is usually not a goodstrategy. |
